The Launceston Bridge Club held their 2026 Congress on the weekend of 10-11 October. Saturday was Matchpoint Pairs with separate Restricted and Open sections. Sunday was Swiss Pairs. Both events were at maximum capacity with 38 pairs playing in the Matchpoint Pairs (24 Open, 14 Restricted) and 40 pairs in the Swiss Pairs. It was good to see strong representation from the south with 12 players from sourthern clubs playing across the weekend. Sue Falkingham was the Director.
The Open Matchpoint Pairs was won by Margaret Robertson and Roger Swain (results here). The Restricted Matchpoint Pairs was won by Roger Hooley and Judy Hooley, in what must be one of their last outings in the Under 100 MP category (results here). The Swiss Pairs was won by Anne Fyfe and Floyd Suban (results here).
